India is a young country with growing young population. Over a decade the country has seen changes in every sector in the political, economic, educational, social, legal and cultural sphere. With the growing aspirations among the youth, there are issues of unemployment, qualitative education, opportunities for self employment through bank credit, etc, high rising prices along with high cost of living, urbanization and shrinking rural economy. It is very common that youth is succumbed to addiction, criminal activities, depression, abuse of privacy and human dignity and extortion rackets on social media and so on. This situation is dire for the youth belonged to dalit, tribal, NT & DNT and marginalized communities. The idea of Citizenship in the Indian democracy is weakening, as the youth is becoming disheartened, frustrated and disillusioned with the socio-political and economic realities on the ground. Dhunjan Fellows are enabling the youth from Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar districts to bring back the rich and diverse social fabric of Indian society. Equality, Justice, Freedom and Fraternity – the core values given to us by the Indian Constitution are nurtured and strengthened in the communities by the Dhunjan Fellows. These 30 youth, men and women have mobilized local groups in nearly 90 villages and 20 blocks across Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar towards this
