Paralegals
The historical prejudice and lack of recognition as a full & equal citizen of India prevents youth, children, men and women belonged to these communities to access, exercise and secure their constitutional & legal rights. 20 paralegals representing the NT & DNT & tribal communities are selected for the community leadership initiative of ECONET. They are educated and trained in various laws, policies and accessing government schemes & programmes, and with the support from volunteers guide the NT & DNT & tribal families affected by legal injustice, policy atrocity, denial of benefit under the schemes and programmes, citizenship documents, violence against women incl domestic violence. ECONET has paralegals in Pune, Jalgaon, Satara, Nagpur, Akola, Amaravati and Ahilyanagar districts.
